About

MY Mission

Aloha, my name is Koa Lanakila Chang and I am the founder of KumuBot. I graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 2023 and I’m currently a member of the Stanford University class of 2027. My goal with KumuBot is to make the Hawaiian language and culture feel more accessible to all backgrounds. With the recent breakthroughs in AI, there has been no better time to create projects like KumuBot which significantly increase the ability for people to learn and become more productive. I hope KumuBot’s powerful tools inspire you to create awesome projects of your own so you can truly embrace the beauty of the Hawaiian culture.

Testimonials

KumuBot is so useful! I created an entire Hawaiian children's book just by using KumuArt for the images and KumuChat for the storyline. The possibilities are endless!

KumuBot really helped me with my Hawaiian language class. I was able to learn new words with KumuSearch and find new Olelo No'eau ideas for school projects. I will definitely use it for future Hawaiian classes!

KumuChat is absolutely amazing. I can speak to it in Hawaiian fairly well, but also combine it with KumuTranslator when I don't understand. I am not from Hawai'i but have learned so much about the Hawaiian language in such a short time.
